 Gooseberry Pie
« Thread Started on Nov 20, 2003, 6:48pm »

Had some saskatoon pie and for the first time, gooseberry pie the other day. Anybody have any recipes for a gooseberry one? It was really tart but I still enjoyed.

I like cranberry. The high bush kind with the pits. Its called viburnum I believe.

The pie is great ...
It's tart and seedy and smells kinda like old socks. ;D I guess an aquired taste.

Anyhow, a bowl full of cranberries, sugar to taste and a few table spoons of tapioca to thicken. We usually fill the pie shell and add about a cup and a half of sugar.

I bet if you substitue goose berry for cranberry it will work fine. :)
